So everybody is coming unglued because Perry said that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme.
This is not because he's inaccurate in this statement, it's because they are politicians, and old folks like to vote. So instead of arguing the facts, or laying out a plan to save SS, they're just going to paint Perry as the boogeyman that is attempting to steal Granny's check.
But the reality is this: if you called the SS office and said, "I don't want to participate in the program...give me all my money back please." They can't. They don't have it. It's been spent several times over.
And isn't that the definition of a Ponzi scheme?

Wow.
So I haven't posted in over a year. Unbelievable.
What was, at one time, a great little outlet for me to tell you about what's going on around Boerne, the Hill Country, and life in general, became a cumbersome task that was relegated to the bottom of the list.
Well, I'm back.
If you were unfamiliar with this lil blog before, peruse the archives and you'll see the hi-jinks that I drummed up. Be sure and bookmark.
Let's see what kind of fun we can find.

Boerne Grill
has sold to a guy from Austin. Stuart (the old owner) says it was a great deal for him and he's happy and now he's moving to Austin. I'm a little bummed. The Grill was a bastion of local characters, of meetings, the ultimate place to drag your laptop and people watch while you pretend to work.
maybe nothing changes with the new owner, but I just don't see how it could be the same. Could be wrong.......meeting the new owner at 3pm....I"ll report back.
